Excel-ability Learning

Accelerated Learning

Accelerated Learning has evolved from the research of the Bulgarian scientist Georgi Lozanov in the 1970's utilizing techniques of suggestion, relaxation, and music in the learning process. Over the years the learning system has expanded to incorporate the latest research about learning processes and brain activity. Those familiar with brain based learning, Quantum Learning, NLP, Educational Kinesiology, Howard Gardner, and Tony Buzan will recognize many techniques. AL methods have been used in schools, business, athletics, and military.

Dr. Lozanov concluded that learning is enhanced when tension, stress, and preconceptions are removed. Lozanov believed that powerful learning engages both the analytical brain and the emotional brain, along with both the conscious and the unconscious states of mind. At certain times, pleasant surroundings and music are used to bring students into the alpha brain-wave state in which optimum learning takes place.

Thousands of programs worldwide using AL techniques achieve factual and language learning in a fraction of the traditional instructional time. The same stress-free "whole brain" techniques are also used to enhance creativity and performance.
