Bobby McFerring was born in New York city to two classical parents March 11, 1950 moving to Los Angeles when he was 6 years later. He studied piano during high school and at California State University/Sacramento and Cerritos College becoming a singer in 1977. After touring with bands and major artists, he began unaccompanied concertizing in 1983 singing multiple parts a cappella, producing rhythm with his voice and body. He recorded his first classical album in 1995.
