Toronto Children's Chorus

Founded in 1978 by Jean Ashworth Bartle, the Toronto Children's Chorus has flourished into one of the world's premier choral ensembles for children. More than 300 Toronto-area youngsters perform with the choir annually, ranging from 6 to17 years of age. The singers are grouped by level of training into the Toronto Children's Chorus and Training Choirs I, II and III.

The Chorus has won first prize at the 1982 International Eisteddford in Llangollen, Wales and has performed in Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Italy, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Finland, Holland and Belgium. Their repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary and several composers have created works and arrangements for them. The TCC is frequently heard on CBC, has produced several recordings and has its own subscription series in Toronto.
