Toronto Mendelssohn Youth Choir

The Toronto Mendelssohn Youth Choir was formed as part of The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir organization in 1977. The Choir is composed of over 75 singers (ages 15-23) drawn from the Greater Toronto area. In addition to its regular concerts, the TMYC has performed with The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and The Toronto Symphony, and at the International Choral Festival, the International ?Eco-Ed? World Congress, and Expo 86.

Conductor: Robert Cooper

Auditions:
Those auditioning for the TMYC are asked to prepare a piece of their choice. The main auditions are held in June of each year. Additional auditions are held in September and January (very few spaces are available at these auditions). An accompanist is provided for all applicants. All choir members must re-audition each year.
