The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia was founded in 1924 by Mary Louise Curtis Bok to train exceptionally gifted young musicians for careers as performing artists on the highest level. 82 faculty, 169 students. A fully accredited member of NASM.

Tuition fees: Curtis provides merit-based full-tuition scholarships to all its students. Other fees: Comprehensive fees - $795, Medical Insurance $1,200 and a number of other smaller fees. Financial assistance for living expenses is available for those in need.
