Parents are told that their role in helping to develop their child's brain is critical and for many this can appear complicated and confusing. A parenting kit Parenting with "The Zap Family" translates this brain information into parent-friendly form and provides tips, developmental overviews and sample scenarios for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The kit, a one-hour video narrated by Ernie Coombs (Mr. Dressup) and a guidebook, was produced by the Invest in Kids Foundation with the assistance of CBC, Canadian Living, and Health Canada. It can be ordered ($14.95) by calling 1-877-243-8738. Related topics: The Early Years.
