Elderhostel Canadian Office Closes
After 14 years Elderhostel Canada will be closing its office this fall and merging with Elderhostel Inc. in Boston. This change represents a restructuring back to the orginal organization for budgetary reasons. Canadian programs for seniors will continue to be available and will be included in the Elderhostel catalogues issued from Boston and on the main website. "Careers in Culture" CD-ROM, Booklets and Activity Kit
The Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) has created and just released a series providing information about the opportunities, rewards and challenges of working in arts and culture in Canada. The six booklets and the CD-ROM are targeted for the 14-30 age group and includes job strategies, sample resumes, lists of useful organizations and web sites, and testimonials from individuals working in the arts.
