US Education Department New Learning Resources Site
GEM, The Gateway to Educational Materials, is a new web site which lets teachers, parents and students search instructional materials of more than 140 federal, state, university, non-profit and commercial organizations. The goal of the Education Department was to make it easier for teachers to find lesson ideas across many web sites with one simple search. The consortium of organizations was spearheaded by ERIC Clearinghouse on Information and Technology.
At Health, a Mental Health Resource Site
At Health is a web site designed to serve physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, counselors, educators, students, school psychologists, and others who deal with mental health concerns. Amongst the resources is Friday's Progress Notes, a brief, weekly, online newsletter focusing on specific mental health topics. January 21, 2000 focusses on traumatic brain injuries.
