New Legislation allowing Private Universities in Ontario
Legislation was passed on December 20, 2000 allowing private, degree-granting institutions to apply for consent to operate in Ontario. The Post-secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000 also allows colleges of applied arts and technology to apply for consent to grant applied degrees.
