John Kadz is recognized as a distinguished and innovative teacher whose students have included several provincial and national prize winners. Many of his graduates are members of professional orchestra and chamber groups and teaching institutions around the world. Formerly Manager of Academy, The Conservatory at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is Artistic Co-Director of Morningside Music Bridge.

Student News:

• Anne Lee was a semi-finalist in the ASTA competition. She also a national finalist in the CMC competitions. She is now studying with Antonio Lysy at McGill University in Montreal.
• Arnie Choi performed with the Calgary Civic Orchestra on Sunday May 28. He took first place in his age category at the CMC national competitions with a mark of 97, the second highest of all competitors at the competition. His sister, Estelle Choi won her age category with a mark of 94.
• Yu Wei won the Rosebowl in the 2000 Kiwanis Music Festival of Calgary; the Provincial National strings category in the Provincial finals (in Edmonton) and 3rd place in the Nationals in Halifax in August. He tied for first place in the Music Bridge concerto competition on July 7. He is now studying with Hans Jensen at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
• Loewi Lin, Nigel Befus, and Jessica In were also national finalists at the CMC competitions.
