Eileen Keown - Piano and Theory Instructor

Profile

Eileen Keown is a dynamic and effective teacher with a wide range of experience in the music profession. She holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Alberta, a Performance Diploma from the Mozarteum (Salzburg), and is completing a Master of Arts degree at the University of Calgary. She has performed extensively as a piano soloist, chamber musician and accompanist both in recital and broadcast. She has worked in the television industry and has been an administrator at Mount Royal College (Calgary), Dean of the RCM Community Schools, General Manager of the Kiwanis Music Festival (Toronto), and is currently the General Manager of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. She continues to perform, teach, examine and adjudicate.
